Thank you for making a difference

Golden Star Lounge would like to thank all its players who participated in the 2007 AIDS initiative. For World Aids Day on 1 December 2007, we asked our online players to participate in this year’s project by playing three of our most popular slots - The Osbournes, Hitman and Thunderstruck with the proceeds aimed to be donated to an AIDS organization of our choice. Now at the end of this project we are proud to say that we have raised $20,000!

The continent of Africa is the one most affected by the HIV/AIDS condition. Therefore, the $20,000 has now been donated to the Sparrow Rainbow Village in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Sparrow Rainbow Village caters for patients infected with the HIV virus and acts as a Hospice making the remaining days of the residents a little more bearable. The facility caters for the whole social spectrum of those affected – adults, orphans, mothers and their babies.  Thanks again to all those who participated in out initiative. We couldn’t have done it without you!
